Contract Negotiation

It is a legal requirement that employers provide their employees with a minimum written statement of terms and conditions of employment addressing specific aspects. However, the provision of a formal contract also provides important protection for employers by setting out certain rights and obligations and additional relevant terms may be incorporated.

It is at the outset of the employment relationship, when the employer wants a particular individual as an employee and the same individual wishes to be employed by the employer, that both parties are amenable to agreeing the terms to govern their working relationship. However, each party may well have different requirements.

With our experience in acting for employers of all sizes and with employees at all levels from senior management to support staff, we are able to understand the aims of both employers and employees and therefore provide an effective service during contract negotiations.
